High-throughput analytics for the WID®-easy Test
Martin Widschwendter’s research team has developed the non-invasive methylation-based diagnostic WID®-easy test for the early detection of endometrial cancer based on quantitative real-time PCR that can be implemented in diagnostic high-throughput laboratory workflows.
The Wiley Analytical Science – Magazine article describes the technical implementation and analytical verification of the WID-qEC test (brand name: “WID®-easy Test”).
The described workflow includes the qPCR analysis itself and the entire test process, including sample collection, automated DNA isolation, quantification and normalization, automated bisulfite conversion, downstream analysis, and data interpretation.
This process allows laboratories to process a large number of samples exceptionally efficiently.
